I am a COSRT registered Psychosexual Therapist. I work with adult individuals and couples.
Seeking help for sexual difficulties can be a daunting task for a lot of people, as this is such a private part of our lives. Most people with sexual difficulties may feel embarrassed about talking about these issues; yet talking is the best way to get the change that is often required. Everyone deserves a happy and satisfying sexual life, yet there are times when our bodies do not respond as they should, either from physical or psychological factors. Exploring these difficulties in a private, caring and supportive environment can help people understand the issues which may have led to difficulties in the first place; help them reconnect with their bodies, which will in turn pave the way to improving one’s sex life and thus restore healthy and satisfying relationships.
My background is in nursing, where I still work in sexual health. My interest is in sexual function which led me into training as a psychosexual therapist. This has given me an advantage in understanding different factors involved in sexual difficulties, which may be a mixture of psychological as well as physical factors, and therefore tailor a program specific to each person or couple’s circumstances.
